I grew up in Southern California and I remember my parents going to the Bay Area for a weekend trip 35-40 years ago and coming back with service for 8 of Heathware - it was a beautiful pumpkin color with gray-brown rim. It was so unusual and exotic and earthy at that time and I remember we first used it for Thanksgiving and for every dinner after that - unfortunately, with a family of 8, we lost a few pieces over time. I have been in the Bay Area now for 29 years and haven't been to the Heath store but have often though about it. Now that I am in need of dinnerware, I will plan a trip soon!
