After years of mutual admiration, we've come together with Adam Silverman to form Heath Los Angeles - a natural extension of our Sausalito, California-based pottery. Inspired by iconic mid-century design houses, Heath Los Angeles includes a studio where studio director and potter Adam Silverman will produce one-of-a-kind and custom small run works. In a nutshell, we're continuing our designer/maker tradition as we grow our community of craft, design and object enthusiasts.

Our Los Angeles Studio & Store is just like our Sausalito location, with a few differences. We have all the same great dinnerware, first and second quality, plus unique home accessories and our gift registry (tile and full production will remain in Sausalito). As for the differences - the design studio, the visiting-artist gallery and the newly renovated space, designed by Commune Design. adam silverman //

Adam's passion for clay began 25 years ago at The University of Colorado. He continued his education at Rhode Island School of Design where he studied architecture, art & design. In 2002, Adam made the switch to full-time potter. Over time, his work has evolved from strictly functional pottery to a broader, more process-oriented investigation into forms and their functions. He creates vessels that combine clean, modern shapes with non-traditional glazes, which results in a wonderful balance between urban and organic, craft and design. Our studio, run by potter Adam Silverman, designs and creates original pieces for our two stores, as well as produces small, custom works for the local Los Angeles design, restaurant and hospitality community. In the future we hope to house a visiting artists program, where artists will experiment with Adam on new glazes and designs to be considered for a spot in our permanent collection.
